Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School website. Here you can start to discover what makes our school such a special place, why children love it here and why they remember it with such affection after they have left.

St John the Baptist RC Primary is a welcoming and diverse school filled with a buzz of happy activity and the warmth of positive relationships between pupils and adults. The children are taught a broad and balanced curriculum by wonderful teachers, and the academic standards are good. Yet, our school is about so much more than that; it is about our Catholic faith that teaches children to follow the example of Jesus. It is about giving everyone the opportunity to shine and be proud, having the confidence to have a go at anything and the belief that you can succeed. We continue to teach the children to have pride in themselves and to work harmoniously with each other.

Our school continues to be a place of inclusivity and respect for the beliefs of others and a sense of pride when others do well. It is about the fun, magic and laughter of school life and the making of all those memories that last into old age. Our mission statement says that we are one family, working together and aiming high.

I believe that it is these things that make our children lively, confident, and thoughtful and is why they move on to fulfilling lives built upon the Gospel values and strong foundations laid in the school.

Therefore, if you need to speak to me about anything regarding your child’s education, please feel free to do so. If I am able to, we can speak immediately or, if not, we can make an appointment at the earliest convenience.
